My name is Bernadette o’Reilly.
I was born in Dublin, grew up in Finglas, never realising I would become a writer.
I have been writing since the 80’s, been published in some anthologies and read at open mic’s in Dublin city.
I love attending readings and workshops, have met and been inspired by many poets, been encouraged and supported by many of these wonderful writers.
My other hobby and second passion is music.
I am a member of The Ballymum Writer’s Group.
So pleased to see this blog up and running😊 Congratulations Rachel xxx

I see you have writing experience, and I would love your input on my book. I saw that you liked my previous chapter, and it’s no longer there. What are some things you think I can change about Chapter 13? In your eyes, where is the story headed? Do you feel conflict or tension? What is the atmosphere? Okay… sorry about all the questions, but I value you as a reader. You seem to like my posts quite often (thank you so much, by the way.) I would truly love your input as I move forward.

Hi Hannah,
I will be glad to be of some help to you, flattered you think so much of my opinion, remember it is only an opinion, any suggestions made is up to you to except or not. A piece of advice I find works for me is, listen to your gut feeling, put the story or poem away for awhile then come back to it with fresh eyes. I will read your story and get back to you over the weekend, hope that suits you. Enjoy your writing. B

Before I read this, I actually did set the work aside. I’ve been working on other things this week 😉

Bernadette thank you so much for your heartfelt wishes for our magical Maddie’s recovery. I appreciate every positive thought and prayer but out into the world on her behalf, so thank you for taking the time to do so!
Also, you’ve been following me, I notice, for the past two months… I apologize that life has been so crazy I have barely gotten any writing done, it’s sorta embarrassing! Please be patient, hopefully, starting next week, I’ll be back to a regular schedule of sharing me thoughts about life, death and the world around me,
Memee
